The United Nations Forum for People of African Descent aims to address the challenges and promote the rights and well-being of people of African descent. It provides a platform for networking and sharing best practices to address the challenges faced by people of African descent around the world, while the Canadian initiative focuses on empowering Black Canadians and promoting social justice, inclusion and equality within their communities. Despite their different scopes, both initiatives recognize and address the unique experiences and challenges faced by people of African descent. They are aligned with IACNC’s principle and conception of supporting black-led, black-focused organizations.
